Last 11 days
about 7 years ago – Tue, Mar 07, 2017 at 11:32:06 PM

We're down to the last 11 days, so I wanted to give you a heads up about where things stand.

Freeport Companion

I finished my last pass through the manuscript yesterday and it's now in Kim Mohan's hands for editing. Also, I shipped out nearly all the art orders for the project, I'm waiting to hear back from one artist to grab the last batch. If I don't hear back from him soon, I have a couple of great artists waiting in the wings. I'll be posting sketches as they roll in.

Freeport Trilogy

I'm 1/3 of the way through Death in Freeport, the first adventure in the series. It's going well and fast. It's great to revisit these awesome adventures and I think you'll find they are a great fit for SotDL. I expect to start ordering art for Death by the end of this week and to push the product into layout soon after. Terror and Madness will follow soon after.

Beyond the World's Edge

This product is at the planning stage and so far I have some lovely and sinister ideas for what's going into the book. Renegade wizards, clues about the Kalasan homeland, and more.

Tales of the Pirate Isles (just 2k away!)

We're going to build this as a trilogy of stand alone adventures, one for novice, one for expert, and one for master characters. I start on this set, likely with freelancer help, after BWE.

Demon Lord's Companion 2

We have plenty of time to still unlock this beast. I have all sorts of bits and pieces that I'm keen to introduce in this book, but the biggest chunk is the group theme idea. DLC2 will introduce a template that overlays your group of characters to explain, both in story and in mechanics, how and why your group sticks together. Each member can tap into the group mechanic to help them in certain situations and it also amplifies the benefits of cooperation.

That's all for now. Thanks for your support and keep spreading the word about this campaign!

Stretch Goal 2 Unlocked!
about 7 years ago – Sat, Mar 04, 2017 at 10:10:08 PM

When I was outrageously young, maybe six or seven years old, my parents let me watch a movie called "The Island," which starred Michael Caine and David Warren. Aside from the emotional scars this movie left, the flick, among others, left me with loads of damage for me to mine and use that ore to create entertaining adventures for you to enjoy! After a touch and go moment earlier today, I am happy to announce "Beyond the World's Edge" is now happening! What does this mean? Well, lots, really. First, the Freeport trilogy is a bit over 100 pages of sexy adventure. Add to this 32 pages of weird, screwed up islands infested with inbred pirates and at least one Michael Caine illustration, you're looking at ~250 pages of hot, hot Demon Lord action. So, congrats!

What's next? Tales of the Pirate Isles, a trilogy of delicious, insane, horrifying adventures featuring... wait for it... pirates and all sorts of madness. We just have to reach $30k and this "Rob's therapy in PDF" session will be yours to enjoy! As always, thank you for your support, for sharing the links to this campaign, and delighting in the lovely sound of Jay and I, after a billion takes, talking about Freeport on film. Hail and let's keep up the great work.
